Primelane LLC - Privacy Policy

Primelane LLC ("Primelane," "we," or "us") is an FMCSA-licensed motor carrier broker that arranges vehicle transportation for automotive dealerships and other commercial clients across the United States. We do not own trucks, transport the vehicles directly or operate as a motor carrier. We connect your loads with vetted, FMCSA-authorized carriers and manage the logistics around that. Transportation services are performed by FMCSA-licensed third-party motor carriers. Therefore Primelane LLC does not assume possession, custody, or control of the vehicles being transported.

This privacy policy describes the information we collect and handle in the course of running that business — who we get it from, why we have it, how we use it, who we share it with and what control you have over it. The privacy policy covers our website, our quoting and booking process, our billing, and the day-to-day communication we have with dealership staff. It is written for a U.S. business audience and our services are not directed to individuals outside the United States.

We only collect the information we need to plan and manage the transportation process efficiently, and not much beyond that. The sections below spell out the specifics.

1. Who this policy speaks to

Most of the individuals we deal with are acting on behalf of a dealership — a sales manager requesting a quote, an accounts-payable contact settling an invoice, a lot attendant coordinating a pickup or delivery. Some of the information we hold about those individuals may qualify as a "personal information" under U.S. state privacy laws even though the relationship is commercial in nature. Where that is the case, the rights described in Sections 9 and 10 apply to them.

This policy does not govern the carriers we hire, the auction houses or dealer management systems we connect to, payment processors, or any other third party with its own terms. When information leaves our hands to one of those parties, their practices take over.

2. What we collect, and why we have it

We have organized this by purpose rather than by category, because that is usually the honest way to explain it.

To quote and to book a load: Based on information provided by our customers and with their consent, we acquire the information about the pickup and delivery locations, phone numbers, email addresses the vehicles involved (VIN, year/make/model, condition, whether they run), requested timing, and the name and contact details of the pickup and delivery locations. Without this we can not calculate the price of the service, plan the transportation process or assign an order to carrier company:

  • The carrier companies we work with, need pickup and delivery addresses to transport the vehicle;

  • The carrier companies need vehicle information such as year, make, model and the VIN number in order to confirm they are picking up and delivering correct vehicle;

  • Carriers require requested delivery timeframes to arrange transportation according to customer requirements;

  • The carrier companies need the contact information (such as the name of the person & the official name of the facility in charge of the pickup and delivery locations, phone numbers and email addresses) in order to notify each of them about the timeframe of pickup and delivery in advance and to make sure the person/company in charge of the vehicle is present at the pickup and delivery locations and/or operate at the time whenever the pickup or delivery of the vehicle is scheduled.

To connect with the systems we need to transport your vehicle: We may exchange data with official platforms and load boards where we advertise the order and find relevant carrier company who complies to the customer requirements — for example, the carrier companies who will pick up and deliver the vehicle in the timeframe requested by the customer, complete delivery for the requested rate and have proper cargo insurance coverage to cover any potential damage from pickup to delivery point.

To communicate, we keep the email threads, call notes, and text-message exchanges tied to your loads. We send SMS updates (pickup confirmations, transit status, delivery coordination) to the mobile numbers dealership contacts give us. Our outbound calls and inbound support calls may be recorded — more on both of these in Section 6.

We do not go looking for sensitive categories of information (health, biometrics, precise geolocation, and the like). If something sensitive reaches us, it is incidental and we treat it as we would any other personal information.

3. Where it comes from

Two main streams: What dealership staff/customer hand us directly (forms, calls, emails, texts); what flows in through www.primelaneus.com

4. How we use it

Beyond the operational purposes already described — quoting, booking, integrating, communicating — we use information to select carriers that meet customer requirements and resolve claims and disputes. We do not repurpose information for something materially different from why we collected it.

5. Who we share it with

We share only what a given recipient needs:

  • Assigned carriers get the pickup and delivery details, vehicle information, and an on-site contact so they can complete the delivery of the vehicle.

  • Connected platforms (Platforms and Load Boards) designed for the brokers, dealers and carrier companies to advertise the load and find the carrier company who will pick up and deliver the vehicle in requested timeframe and rate.

  • Legal and corporate recipients — courts, regulators, or counterparties in a sale or merger of the business — where the law allows or requires it, or to protect people's rights and safety.

We do not sell dealership or customer contact information or vehicle information to anyone in exchange of any financial or non-financial benefits.

6. Calls and text messages

Recording. We record and monitor sales and support calls for quality, training, dispute resolution, and compliance. If you do not want to be recorded, let the representative know or do not continue on the call.

SMS. Texts we send are transactional and related to specific quote requests, active shipments, delivery coordination, and other transportation-related communications requested by the customer. We may send transactional text messages relating to:

  • Quotes

  • Pickup scheduling

  • Delivery scheduling

  • Shipment status updates

We do not send marketing by text. We send SMS messages only to contacts who have requested transportation services or who have provided prior express consent through our website, email communications, or other direct communications related to transportation services. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. For additional support, contact us at dispatch@primelaneus.com or 1-240-517-8830. Message frequency varies depending on shipment activity and customer requests. Standard message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

SMS consent is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are handled separately from everything else. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell mobile numbers, and we do not share them, your SMS opt-in, or your text-message content with any third party for marketing, lead generation, or third-party analytics. The only parties who receive a mobile number are service providers strictly necessary to deliver and support our own transactional messages to you (such as our messaging platform), acting on our instructions and for no other purpose.

By providing your mobile number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages regarding quotes, vehicle pickup scheduling, delivery coordination, shipment status updates, and other transportation-related communications.

7. Cookies, analytics, and ads

Our site uses cookies and similar tags for three things: making it function, measuring traffic (Google Analytics), and attributing ad performance (Google Ads, Meta Pixel). Those advertising tools may set identifiers that, under California law, count as "sharing" for cross-context advertising even though no money changes hands. You can limit cookies through your browser, and you can opt out of that ad-related sharing as described in Section 10. The ad and analytics providers handle the data they collect under their own policies.

8. How long we keep it and how we protect it

We hold information for as long as we are actively working with an account, plus whatever additional period our recordkeeping, tax, claims, and legal obligations require — then we dispose of it. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, although no method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

This is a B2B service for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and if we learn we have, we delete it.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on the state you are in, you may be able to ask us to confirm what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it, or delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" described in Section 7. To make a request, contact us using Section 12 — we will verify who you are before acting, and we will not penalize you for asking.

11. Other notes

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, since there's no agreed standard for them. We may revise this policy as our business or the law changes; when we do, we will update the effective date above and post the new version here. Material changes will be flagged more prominently.
